'Gilmore Girls' Fans Are Stunned After Learning About Milo Ventimiglia's Secret Marriage

Well, folks, it finally happened. After years of being super private about his personal life, Milo Ventimiglia announced he is officially off the market.
On October 30, the hearts of Gilmore Girls fans broke when Us Weekly revealed the actor had tied the knot with Jarah Mariano earlier in 2023. According to the outlet, the couple wed in a private ceremony and were surrounded by family and friends during the celebration. While the This Is Us star and his new bride never publicly confirmed their relationship, Milo and Jarah have been seen around the actor's native California throughout the last few years (plus, you can see the beautiful wedding photos here).
Many Milo fans are probably wondering who exactly Jarah Mariano is, and how did she manage to capture the heart of our favorite TV dad? Keep on reading to learn more about Milo's new bride.
Who is Milo Ventimiglia's wife, Jarah Mariano?
Jarah is 38 years old, and grew up on Kauai, Hawai'i. In a Facebook post from 2021, she gave fans a more personal look at her upbringing.
"May is Asian Pacific American Heritage Month [and] I couldn’t be more proud to represent my community," she wrote on Facebook at the time. "I explain how I was born in Hawaiʻi, but also grew up in California. My mom is of Korean descent, but born & raised in Hawaiʻi. My father’s from Hawaiʻi as well, his mother is Native Hawaiian & we don’t know who his father is. He was adopted by the Mariano family, which is where my last name comes from."
After spending some time in California, Jarah eventually moved to New York City, where she lived for 15 years. Per her IMDB page, she attended Pace University and obtained a bachelor's degree in speech communications with a media studies concentration. She also became a successful model, and is currently under the representation of Next Models and Elite. She has even been a part of campaigns for brands like Abercrombie and Fitch and Victoria's Secret.
If posing for the camera isn't enough, she also has had some stints in music videos and on television. She was seen in Jay-Z's music video for the single "Show Me What You Got"and would later snag minor roles in the film Minority Report and the TV drama Rescue Me.
Outside of modeling and acting, Jarah is also an entrepreneur. She founded a perfume company called Hina + Kū Hawaiʻi, which the brand's website says supports the Hawaiʻi Community Foundation’s nonprofit Makalapua Fund, helping raise money for food banks, local farmers, fisherman and children’s centers.
What's more, the brand's mission statement is all inspired by where Jarah grew up. "Elevated fragrances inspired by Hawai'i’s rich landscape, unique culture and the Mana, or spiritual force and energy flow throughout all things," read the company's first Instagram post in October 2021.
With all of this combined, Jarah is certainly quite a match for Milo! Although it's likely we won't hear much about their marriage on social media, Milo did speak to Us Weekly in 2017 on being hopeful about finding a life partner in the future.
"[This Is Us] doesn’t make me want to have a family any more than I think I’m built to want a strong family unit," he said at the time. "It will happen when it happens. I’m not out seeking it. It’s just kind of, I’m present in the space in my life that when it presents itself and it’s right, I’m sure it will work out."
