‘Ghost,’ ‘Poe’ and ‘Werewolf’: Kansas City stages to put families in Halloween spirit

Families can get in the mood for Halloween at three theater productions opening over the next week.

The Kansas City Repertory Theatre’s “Ghost Light: A Haunted Night of Songs and Stories from KC’s Cultural Crossroads” returns for its third year, this time free at Roanoke Park with shows at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 21-22. More information at kcrep.org.

Also, The Coterie will present “Tell-Tale Electric Poe,” with musical underscoring by guitarist Rex Hobart, at its theater in Crown Center. It opens at 7 p.m. Oct. 20 and runs through Oct. 30; tickets ($12-$15) are available at thecoterie.org.

Theatre for Young America’s production of “Curse of the Werewolf” at City Stage Theatre in Union Station will run at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 26-31. Tickets ($12) are available at tya.org.
