After getting drafted, Texas' NFL rookies are assigned their new jersey numbers
In the days following the 2024 NFL draft, rookies learned what numbers they will wear on Sundays this fall.
Texas had 11 players selected in last month's draft, and it will be easy for UT fans to spot some of the former Longhorns. Receiver Xavier Worthy, defensive lineman T'Vondre Sweat and running back Jonathon Brooks were all assigned the same number that they wore for Texas this past football season.
Here are the numbers that the Texas football program's recent draftees will wear in the NFL:
Seattle DT Byron Murphy II: 91
Kansas City WR Xavier Worthy: 1
Tennessee DT T'Vondre Sweat: 93
Carolina RB Jonathon Brooks: 24
Carolina TE Ja'Tavion Sanders: 85
Jacksonville RB Keilan Robinson: 31
New Orleans LB Jaylan Ford: 53
Pittsburgh CB Ryan Watts: 29
Los Angeles Rams WR Jordan Whittington: 88
The Arizona Cardinals have not officially revealed the jersey numbers that their rookies will wear but the @nfl_jersey_num account on X reported that former Texas offensive lineman Christian Jones, who was a fifth-round pick, will next been seen in the No. 75. The Indianapolis Colts have not yet announced a jersey number for ex-UT receiver Adonai Mitchell, who was selected in the draft's second round.
