Gerry Turner Blindsides Woman With Shocking Elimination on 'The Golden Bachelor'

ABC

The Golden Bachelor star Gerry Turner tearfully picked his final two women in a rose ceremony meltdown that fans finally got to see conclude on tonight’s Women Tell All special.

On last week’s week 6, Gerry was devastated about choosing between Faith Martin and Theresa Nist to join Leslie Fhima. He left the rose ceremony room, cried and shouted, “I’m dying inside!” The episode abruptly ended without resolution.

But on the WTA special, viewers saw the end of that shocking ceremony.

“I know what I want to do, I just don’t want to do it,” Gerry tearfully told host Jesse Palmer.

Who got Gerry's final rose on The Golden Bachelor?

The former restaurant owner held the final rose, which he gave to Theresa, who joined Leslie in his final two.

Faith, 61, was devastated. Gerry, 72, shared a heartbreaking conversation outside the mansion.

"It was just so nice to meet your family and to see you in your element like that," Gerry said. "It just made this decision all that much harder."

"I pictured it," she said. "Some little piece of me thought, 'Hey it really could work out, you know.'" But alas, it didn't. Faith told Gerry she wished him well and got into the limo.

However, Faith’s composure broke in the van as she departed the mansion. “Right now, I’m numb," she said. "It's gonna be a while before I figure it out, if I ever figure it out." She then began to second guess Gerry's feelings. "Maybe it was just all in my own head. I feel like we connected on a level where I was ready to marry the dude. I wanted so much more for me.

"To try so hard and have it just not work out is devastating."

The tears and heartbreak continued as host Jesse and Faith talked about the rose ceremony during the live Women Tell All episode.

"Faith, I think I speak on behalf of everybody," Jesse said. "I'm shocked that you went home. You had to be blindsided in that moment."

What happened when Faith and Gerry reunited?

The short answer? Tears flowed. Faith and Gerry sobbed and hugged a long and comforting hug. By the end of their teary confessions, there wasn't a dry eye in the house.

"The first thing I want to say is from day one, I felt that connection, that we had that safe place, but when I looked up that day when you walked me out, it was like I was looking at a stranger," Faith said. "I felt that complete disconnect, and that was the most devastating thing. We went from hometowns, the way we left each other was so great, and then to just have it be nothing."

Gerry countered, saying, "It was not nothing." He said that he had genuinely loved her when he told her that during their hometown visit. "I felt like I had built and created something along with you only to destroy it in a brief moment."

The heartbreak continued as Faith tearfully explained how Gerry had singlehandedly torn down 30 years of walls she'd built around her heart.

"That's the part that hurts so bad," Faith said. "Because I don't know if anyone else could have broke down my walls, Gerry. You did that for me...I don't know what it is about you, but I hope someday I can feel that again. But I thank you for it. I didn't know that I could feel that. I didn't know that I could feel so at peace and so safe."

Gerry comforted her and explained that his love for her was genuine in those moments.

"At some point, when I had three women that are beyond description wonderful, I had to figure out which was the right one," he said. "That doesn't mean the other two were any less wonderful or less important or any less lovable. It just meant that one was right."

Faith said, "I totally get that but in my heart it still hurts. I feel such a loss."

Shedding tears, Gerry said he had wronged her by breaking a promise he made to her sons during their hometown visit. He had promised to take care of her heart and he broke that promise.

The two shared a final hug as the episode ended.

What happened when Kris Jenner appeared on Women Tell All?

Susan Noles got one of the biggest surprises of the night when her idol, Kris Jenner, appeared via video with a message for her.

The reality TV star and momager told Susan, who sports a resemblance to the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star, “Susan, you are amazing…love the hair. You nailed it, doll!”

Susan cried from the Women Tell All stage, “I love her.”

Where is Joan Vassos now?

One of the most poignant moments of The Golden Bachelor so far was when Joan Vassos, 60, had to self-eliminate after bonding strongly with Gerry over being widowed.

Joan left to help her daughter, who was struggling after a difficult birth.

Hitting the Women Tell All hot seat, Joan told fans her journey with Gerry was hard to watch back. She explained that her daughter had suffered “a serious case of postpartum depression.”

Joan said she felt she and Gerry might have had a good chance as a couple if she’d stayed.

In fact, Joan told Jesse she thought she might come home one day and find Gerry “sitting on my front porch.”

But it wasn’t to be.

Ellen moved to tears by a surprise guest

Ellen Goltzer, the blonde spitfire who was shocked when Gerry sent her packing, told Jesse, “I just saw a life with him.”

But Ellen held no bitterness, saying, “I just can’t wait to get started” with dating again after her inspiring time with the Indiana restaurateur.

Jesse surprised her at the end of her time in the hot-seat by introducing a special guest who was in the audience to see her.

Ellen was thrilled to see her late friend Roberta’s daughter. Her friend had encouraged her to apply to the show but died before it aired.

There wasn’t a dry eye in the house as Ellen recalled when she got home from filming and Roberta was “in a semi-coma state.” Ellen let her friend relax by telling her, “We’re going to watch the show, just from different places, together.”

Roberta's daughter Courtney thanked Ellen “for showing what true friendship looks like.”

Were the women happy to see Gerry again?

When Gerry first joined Jesse onstage, his eliminated women drowned him in love.

Marina Perrera, who self-eliminated from the show because of a family matter, asked him, “Any more men in Indiana like yourself?”

Sandra Mason told Gerry after dating him, “I am even more motivated to find my guy.”

Joan told Gerry how she was working hard to look for love as well after The Golden Bachelor whirlwind.

What happens next on Fantasy Suites night?

After bloopers, host Jesse introduced a clip teasing the rest of The Golden Bachelor season, which will consist of the Nov. 16 Fantasy Suites episode and Nov. 30 finale.

Gerry was shown telling the cameras about Leslie and Theresa, “I’m in love with two women but who would I be happiest with for the rest of my life?”

Later in the preview, he sobbed, “I took a good person and broke her heart.”

Jesse promised the Golden ending would be “unlike anything you’ve ever seen before.”
