Some Georgia players noshed on wings on the sideline during blowout win over TCU

It would be little surprise if the television ratings fell during the second half of Monday night’s College Football Playoff National Championship at SoFi Stadium.

Georgia rolled to a 65-7 win over TCU, capping an unbeaten season as the Bulldogs won a second straight title.

This one was over at halftime as the Bulldogs rolled to a 38-7 lead. It was such a lopsided game that some Georgia players noshed on chicken wings on the sideline while the game was still being played.

Hey, at least it wasn’t frog legs, right? We’ll leave that to Shaq.

This is not the first time we’ve seen something like this in a football game. Former Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez downed a hot dog during a 2009 game while New York was thumping the Raiders 38-0 in Oakland.

In the 1980s, Oklahoma players took off their shoulder pads and ate hot dogs on the sideline while the Sooners were crushing Big 8 foe Iowa State in Ames. That provided motivation for revenge a few years later.

At least the Bulldogs kept their pads on while eating.
