Georgia native Will Moseley makes American Idol Top 3 with tunes from Disney movies

The "American Idol" Season 22 contestant pool is officially down to its Top 3, and one of them is Georgia's own Will Moseley.

Corporate synergy was all over Sunday night's episode as the Disney-owned ABC network invited the Top 5 to Walt Disney Resort to have some fun with their families. For this week's competition, the rising stars each sang two songs that were featured in a movie from Disney, Pixar, or Marvel, which are under the Magic Kingdom's umbrella.

The other Top 5 outside of Moseley included Abi Carter, Emmy Russell, Jack Blocker, and Triston Harper. Here's a recap of the big night:

What did Will Moseley perform for Disney Week on 'American Idol?'

One of Moseley's songs was "The Ballad of the Lonesome Cowboy" by Chris Stapleton, which was featured in "Toy Story 4."

The other song he performed was "Born to be Wild" by Steppenwolf, which was featured on "D3: The Mighty Ducks."

  • Abi Carter: "Part of Your World" from "The Little Mermaid" and "The Chain" from "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2."

  • Emmy Russell: "The Climb" from "Hannah Montana: The Movie" and "Carried Me with You" from "Onward."

  • Jack Blocker: "Nobody’s Fool" from "Cars 2" and "Space Oddity" from "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny."

  • Triston Harper: "Almost There" from "The Princess and the Frog" and "Life is a Highway" from "Cars."

The charming Triston Harper winked and boot-scooted, and fan favorite Emmy Russell made a valiant effort with her stage presence, but neither earned enough votes to stay in the competition.
