George Floyd’s sister: ‘Biden is the change that we need’

Bridgett Floyd, sister of the late George Floyd, appeared in an ad for Joe Biden and called the former Vice President “the change that we need.”

“Joe Biden reached out to the family to actually meet," after her brother was killed, Bridgett Floyd said in the ad. "He was there to listen. He was very sincere. Biden is the change that we need.”

Floyd also encouraged people to vote, calling it “very important.”

George Floyd was killed by Minneapolis police officers in May, sparking a nationwide protest movement against police brutality and police killings of Black people.

Derek Chauvin, the officer who kneeled on Floyd’s next for nearly nine minutes, was released on bail earlier this month. Chauvin is charged with second-degree murder.
