George Cheeks, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Ricky Martin, Dakota Fanning and Greta Lee Join Variety TV FYC Fest
Leaders in the TV industry will convene at Variety’s TV FYC Fest on June 6 in Los Angeles, featuring George Cheeks, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Ricky Martin, Dakota Fanning and Greta Lee.
The all-day summit will feature panels and keynote conversations with the talent, showrunners, creators and executives behind top television programming.
Featured programming includes a Supporting Actors Roundtable with Dakota Fanning (“Ripley”), Ricky Martin (“Palm Royale”), Lisa Ann Walter (“Abbott Elementary”), Jennifer Jason Leigh (“Fargo”), Greta Lee (“The Morning Show”) and Lewis Pullman (“Lessons in Chemistry”). These breakout stars will discuss how they came into their roles and hear more about their creative process in storytelling. The conversation will be moderated by Emily Longeretta, Variety’s senior TV features editor.
President and CEO, CBS George Cheeks will sit down with Variety’s co-editor-in-chief Cynthia Littleton for a Keynote Conversation to talk through his leadership vision for CBS and competing for audiences in an exciting yet crowded global media landscape.
A Meet the Makers: “Frasier” panel will take an inside look at the beloved sitcom featuring showrunners and Frasier himself, Kelsey Grammer. Showrunners Joe Cristalli and Chris Harris will join to discuss what went into the development of the classic show, as well as its revival.
Four additional Meet The Makers panels will dive into the development of the following shows:
Max’s explosive documentary “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV” featuring creator Mary Robertson and creator Emma Schwartz as panelists
Fox’s “Animal Control” featuring panelist Joel McHale, actor and executive producer
Paramount+’s comedy “Colin from Accounts” featuring panelists Harriet Dyer, co-creator, executive producer, writer and actor & Patrick Brammall, co-creator/executive producer, writer and actor
Peacock’s breakout reality show “The Traitors”
Last, the “Game Show Host Fan Favorites” panel, featuring Drew Carey (“The Price Is Right”), Jane Lynch (“The Weakest Link”), Carrie Ann Inaba (“Dancing with the Stars”) and Nicole Byer (“Wipeout, Nailed It”), will be a behind the scenes look at the creative approach to connecting with game show audiences.
