On Wednesday, June 12, the CBS reporter shared photos of herself on Instagram wearing a customized shirt to address the public’s concern over the recent hospitalization of her longtime friend due to a stomach virus.

"Just got back to the office and 10 people asked me the same question ... here's the answer! And swipe left," King, 69, wrote in her caption.

The two photos show King wearing the feisty black T-shirt layered over a yellow top, with a fitted black skirt. The front of her shirt reads, "OPRAH is FINE! Thank you for asking," while the back continues, "She appreciates your concern!"

In the images, King is standing in front of a large portrait of Winfrey, as well as a sign that reads "Oprah Daily."

Oprah Daily, the magazine founded by the famed talk-show host, commented on King’s post, "Now we need to get Lady O a shirt that says ‘Whatever Gayle says’ in the front 😂."

On Tuesday, June 11, it was reported that Winfrey, 70, was hospitalized with a stomach virus after she missed a scheduled appearance on CBS Mornings to reveal her latest book-club pick.

King addressed Winfrey's absence during the broadcast, saying, "She had some kind of stomach thing — stomach flu — stuff was coming out of both ends."

She continued, "I won't get too graphic. Needless to say, she ended up in the hospital, dehydration, had to get an IV.”

The next day, King shared an update on Winfrey’s health on Instagram with a video that showed her chatting with her friend on FaceTime.

"I was in the emergency room, I was so dehydrated," Winfrey explained. "I had a dry mouth and I couldn't keep enough water down to get hydrated, so I went to the emergency room for that, and that's just it."

Winfrey then shared that she's "not 100 [percent]; I'm on my way to 100” and added that several people in her household had also fallen ill with the same virus.
