Gastonia, Shelby top performers: Forestview softball's Blair Riley earns five hits

Baseball

Cameron Barnette, East Gaston: Pitched four innings, allowing three runs on one hit and seven strikeouts in a 9-3 win over Forestview.

Dylan Wright, East Gaston: Was 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs.

J.T. Roche, East Lincoln: Had a hit, RBI and scored a run in a 13-3 loss to East Rutherford.

Brandon Washington, East Lincoln: Had a double and an RBI.

Ethan Bray, Forestview: Had a hit and scored a run in a 9-3 loss to East Gaston.

Tripp Dow, Forestview: Was 2-for-4.

Meridian Leffew, Gaston Christian: Was 2-for-4 with a run scored in a 5-4 win over Metrolina Christian.

Aaron Main, Gaston Christian: Pitched five innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits with two strikeouts.

David Nicks, Gaston Christian: Was 2-for-3 with a solo home run and another run scored. He also pitched two innings, allowing two runs on two hits.

Julien McRae, Gaston Day: Was 3-for-5 with a double, triple, five RBIs and a run scored in a 17-8 win over Spartanburg Day.

Thomas Ras, Gaston Day: Was 2-for-2 with a double, RBI and four runs scored.

Brody Smith, Gaston Day: Was 2-for-4 with two doubles, an RBI and three runs scored.

Aydan Bradley, Stuart Cramer: Had a double, three RBIs and two runs scored in a 15-1 win over Ashbrook.

Gavin Carpenter, Stuart Cramer: Had a double, three RBIs and scored two runs.

Cooper Collier, Stuart Cramer: Had a double, two RBIs and two runs scored.

Softball

Kylee Kloiber, East Gaston: Was 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored in a 17-4 loss to Forestview.

Hannah Massey, East Gaston: Was 2-for-3 with two runs scored.

Lily Cabe, Forestview: Was 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBIs win over East Gaston.

Olivia Hensley, Forestview: Was 2-for-2 with an RBI.

Kayla Johnson, Forestview: Was 2-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored.

Madison Ladin, Forestview: Was 2-for-4 with a run scored.

Blair Riley, Forestview: Was 5-for-5 with a home run, two doubles, three RBIs and four runs scored.

Bailey Livengood, Gaston Christian: Was 2-for-4 with a double, RBI and two runs scored in a 9-2 win over SouthLake Christian.

Katie Muchesko, Gaston Christian: Pitched a complete game, allowing two runs on two hits with 17 strikeouts.

Ciara Nanney, Gaston Christian: Was 3-for-3 with a double.

Girls soccer

Harmoni Carter, Mountain Island Charter: Scored a goal in a 1-0 win over Pine Lake Prep.
