Here is a daily list of the top performers from Cleveland, Gaston and Lincoln counties during the 13th week of winter sports action.

Our weekly top performers list and athlete of the week nominees are compiled courtesy of information provided to The Gaston Gazette and Shelby Star by coaches, athletic directors or team statisticians through emails, MaxPreps or mentioning @JoeLHughesII in game results and highlights posted to X, formerly known as Twitter.

Boys basketball

Lance Beam, Burns: Led his team with 19 points in a 54-52 loss to East Gaston.

A.J. Adams, Crest: Led his team with 23 points and six assists in a 79-54 win over North Gaston. By virtue of the Chargers’ win, they claim the Big South 3A title.

King Rhodes, Crest: Fell just shy of a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds.

D’Various Surratt, Crest: Scored 20 points.

Jayce Rowe, East Gaston: Scored 15 points in a 54-52 win over Burns.

Trent Sherrill, East Gaston: Scored 18 points, including the game-winner with 3.2 seconds left.

Jackson Fannon, East Lincoln: Scored 14 points in a 59-58 win over North Iredell.

Houston Hartsell, East Lincoln: His driving lay-up with two seconds left proved to be the game-winning shot.

Davis Hill, East Lincoln: Had 17 points.

Cooper McCraw, Highland Tech: Scored 11 points to go with five rebounds in a 66-46 win over Bessemer City.

Yoel Mussie, Highland Tech: Had 13 points, six rebounds and five assists.

Elijah Whitted, Highland Tech: Had a team-high 25 points to go with eight rebounds, five assists and four steals.

Damontia Duff, Hunter Huss: Had 17 points, four rebounds, five steals and three assists in a 74-67 win over Forestview.

Z-Man Gladden, Hunter Huss: Scored a team-high 29 points to go with four assists, three steals and two rebounds.

Zii Phillips, Hunter Huss: Had 16 points and five rebounds.

Bradley Floyd, Kings Mountain: Had 20 points and six rebounds in a 79-62 win over South Point.

Jordan Floyd, Kings Mountain: Had 13 points, four rebounds and two assists.

Caleb Nixon, Kings Mountain: Had 15 points, six rebounds and two assists.

Landon Lyerly, Lincolnton: Scored 10 of his 12 points in the fourth quarter as the Wolves outlasted Maiden, 48-44.

Tyler McClain, Lincolnton: Scored 21 points.

Markell Carothers, North Gaston: Scored 20 points in a 79-54 loss to Crest.

Jurnee Lattimore, North Gaston: Scored 15 points.

Ben Heavner, North Lincoln: Scored 14 points in a 96-51 rout of West Iredell.

Kellen Karr, North Lincoln: Recorded a triple-double (20 points, 11 assist, 10 rebounds).

Ty Sanders, North Lincoln: Had 11 points, four assists and three rebounds.

Emerson Viverette, North Lincoln: Scored 13 points.

John Carmichael, Piedmont Charter: Scored 22 points to go with six steals and four rebounds in an 89-56 win over Queen’s Grant.

Bobby Erwin, Piedmont Charter: Had 11 points and five rebounds.

Xavier Wilcher, Piedmont Charter: Had 17 points and four rebounds.

Lan Farmer, Shelby: Scored 13 points in an 88-50 win over Thomas Jefferson. With the win, the Golden Lions claimed the Southern Piedmont 1A/2A title.

Drew Hollifield, Shelby: Scored a team-high 17 points.

Greyson Kines, South Point: Scored 10 points in a 79-62 loss to Kings Mountain.

Graham Williams, South Point: Recorded a double-double with 23 points and 18 rebounds.

Taelan Whitley, Stuart Cramer: Had 10 points in a 68-43 loss to Ashbrook.

Girls basketball

Nykira Arrington, Ashbrook: Scored a team-high 19 points in a 54-36 loss to Stuart Cramer.

Duraejah Hardin, Ashbrook: Scored 11 points.

Kiara Anderson, East Lincoln: Recorded a double-double with 27 points and 10 rebounds, along with eight assists and three steals in a 72-50 win over North Iredell.

Emma Montanari, East Lincoln: Had 19 points, seven rebounds, four steals and four assists.

Kendall Manning, Forestview: Scored 11 points in the Jaguars’ 61-52 win over crosstown rival Hunter Huss.

Amani Neely, Forestview: Scored 16 points to go with five rebounds, four steals and four assists.

Blair Riley, Forestview: Earned a double-double (11 points, 11 rebounds) to go with two steals.

Arielle Camp, Hunter Huss: Contributed 19 points in the Huskies’ 61-52 loss to Forestview.

Brooklyn Swann, Hunter Huss: Scored a game-high 24 points.

Farri Martin, Kings Mountain: Had 18 points in a 57-32 loss to South Point.

Genesis Cooke, Mountain Island Charter: Had nine points, nine rebounds and three assists in a 46-43 win over Pine Lake Prep.

Kayla Fudge, Mountain Island Charter: Had five points and 10 rebounds.

Tarriah Washington, Mountain Island Charter: Had nine points and three rebounds.

Hailey Hagler, North Lincoln: Recorded a double-double (12 points, 11 rebounds) to go with two assists and a block in a 63-8 win over West Iredell.

Ally Smith, North Lincoln: Scored 12 points to go with six steals and four assists.

Lyric Brown, Piedmont Charter: Scored a team-high 13 points in a 44-22 win over Corvian.

Claire Frank, South Point: Had 11 points, five rebounds and five assists in a 57-32 win over Kings Mountain.

Amya Graham, South Point: Earned a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds, as well as five assists.

Oshauna Holland, Stuart Cramer: Had 12 points, five assists, four rebounds and a steal in a 54-36 win over Ashbrook. With the win, the Storm claimed the Big South 3A title, its first in program history.

Lauren Humphrey, Stuart Cramer: Had 11 points and two rebounds.

Hadley Womack, Stuart Cramer: Scored her 1,000th career point against Ashbrook. She finished with a game-high 20 points, three steals, a block and a rebound.
