'Full House's Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber Gush Over Ashley Olsen's Secret Baby

Full House stars Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber are celebrating "the baby" of the show having a baby!

The two actresses—who co-starred on the iconic eight-season family sitcom that originally aired from 1987-1995—chatted on their “How Rude, Tanneritos” rewatch podcast on Tuesday, Aug. 22, where they gushed over recent news of former co-star Ashley Olsen quietly welcoming her first child.

Barber told Sweetin that the announcement "blows [her] mind," with Sweetin agreeing. "The baby had a baby!" she exclaimed in response.

Doubling back on her comment, Sweetin clarified, “I’m sorry, I know she’s not a baby. She’s a 37-year-old woman, I realize that. But it’s like when the youngest member of your family has a kid. It’s like, ‘Ah, it’s happening!’”

Olsen and her twin sister, Mary-Kateboth portrayed Michelle on the TV hit, the youngest sister of the late Bob Saget's character Danny Tanner's three daughters. Michelle was, notably, the baby of the, well, full house (obviously). Rounding out the trio of girls was Candace Cameron Bure, who played the role of the eldest sister, D.J.

In addition to the three girls, the house was overflowing with family members, as their uncle, Danny's late wife's brother, John Stamos' Jesse Katsopolis, also lived with them, along with Lori Loughlin's Rebecca Katsopolis, after the pair got married. Dave Coulier's Joey Gladstone, the dad of the house's childhood best friend, served as an additional roommate.

Elsewhere in the podcast episode, Sweetin acknowledged that while Olsen and husband Louis Eisner will undoubtedly keep their new addition “private for sure,” she wanted to send warm congratulations to the couple nonetheless.

“I want to wish them well,” she expressed, before offering Olsen: “Welcome to motherhood!”

As Parade previously reported, it was revealed on Aug. 14 that the ultra-private It Takes Two star had given birth to a healthy baby boy named Otto a few months ago in New York.

As for Sweetin and Barber, both married actresses each have two children of their own.
