The Florida State women's basketball team is ready to get March Madness started. While they're expected to receive an at-large berth in the NCAA tournament, a few wins in the ACC tournament would go a long way toward setting up a deep run into March.
FSU (21-9) went 12-6 in conference play this season and earned the No. 6 seed in the ACC tournament. The Seminoles will open tournament play in the last game of Thursday's second round, and they'll be playing Wake Forest (7-24, 2-16) for a quarterfinal date with Syracuse (23-6, 13-5).
Coach Brooke Wyckoff has her team in a better position than last year, or at least a healthier one. Guard Ta'Niya Latson, the ACC Freshman of the Year, went down with a season-ending injury before last year's ACC tournament. This time, she and fellow All-ACC first-teamer Makayla Timpson are ready to go for the conference's best offense (80.17 points per game).

Florida State's ACC tournament second-round game will tip off about 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 6 at Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. The game will start about 30 minutes after the Duke game ends.
