It's the final day of the 2024 ACC baseball tournament, and Florida State and Duke will play for the championship.
No. 5 seed FSU (41-14, 17-12 in ACC) got here by beating Georgia Tech and Virginia in pool play, then taking down Wake Forest in the semifinals. No. 6 seed Duke (38-14, 16-14) defeated Virginia Tech, upset NC State and defeated Miami.
The Seminoles have one of the best offenses in the NCAA, led by ACC Player of the Year James Tibbs III and featuring Drew Faurot, Marco Dinges and Daniel Cantu in the tournament. Could coach Link Jarrett get one more appearance out of All-ACC first-team pitcher Jamie Arnold, whose 2.45 ERA is ranked ninth in the nation? Second baseman Zac Morris has been white hot for the Blue Devils in the tournament, while All-ACC reliever Charlie Beilenson is always lurking out of the bullpen.
