Fruity Pebbles Debuts Brand New Look and Flavor for the Summer

Fruity Pebbles fans can look forward to an exciting new pair of cereals to enjoy, for this summer only.

If you want to shake things up with the nostalgic and prehistoric breakfast food, check out Summer Fruity Pebbles, available for, you guessed it, the warmest season of the year. According to foodstagrammer markie_devo, the box and the crispy rice cereal got a totally tubular makeover, with Fred, Pebbles, Bamm-Bamm and Dino celebrating the sunshine on the beach. Inside the colorful box is a mix of red and blue flakes, flavored just as you know and love.

But if you really want to spice things up, they're also offering a limited-time flavor in a brand new form: Fruity Pebbles Waffles, which is made up of "crunchy, fruity blasted waffle shapes" according to the blurb on the box. It's a combination of two fan-favorites, according to the blogger, mixing Fruity Pebbles with Waffle Crisp, offering the aforementioned crunchy, fruity waffle shapes "with notes of maple syrup" mixed in with the classic Fruity Pebbles flavor.

Summer Fruity Pebbles have already hit the shelves in select stores, while Fruity Pebbles Waffles is set to be a Walmart exclusive. Consumers can expect to see the full rollout take place sometime in May.

Brands are really cashing in on the rush caused by limited releases, with Pringles also dropping a new flavor that fans are calling one of "the best flavor[s]" they've made so far.

Meanwhile, Gatorade is also raking in the nostalgia factor, seemingly repackaging a popular '90s flavor for a limited time, while Oreo is offering its own mashup of two fan-favorite treats.
