Frozen espresso martinis and great views: New rooftop bar now open on Miami Beach

If there’s anyone in Miami who doesn’t enjoy a good rooftop bar — especially at this time of year — we have not yet met them.

And now Miami Beach has a new rooftop spot to eat, drink and enjoy the view.

At Always June, open daily at the Kimpton Angler’s South Beach Hotel, guests get views of South Beach, Biscayne Bay and the Miami skyline, day and night.

You don’t have to be a hotel guest to enjoy the sights or the vibe, though if you want to enjoy the pool, you need to purchase a day pass, which starts at $39. There are also cabanas you can book starting at $179 per day.

Or, you can just enjoy the bar. The menu includes the sort of light, beachy fare you’d expect, like shrimp ceviche, shrimp cocktail and blue crab salad. There are also sandwiches, like the Bodega Bagel, which includes fried egg, ham and pepperjack; burgers and a Peruvian chicken sandwich with bacon, arugula, tomato aji amarillo and garlic aioli.

Naturally, there are tacos — pork belly tacos — because there always should be tacos.

There should be cocktails, too, and you can expect the classics. Some come frozen, including a spicy mango margarita, the Aperol spritz and the Smokey Paloma with Dos Hombres mescal.

There are also alcohol-infused pops, like the Coco Melon (Ciroc coconut and pineapple) and the Excelsior (Ciroc red berry, cactus pair pomegranate). There’s even a frozen espresso martini for hot days or nights, which keeps you cool and awake at the same time. Win win.

You can also order punch drinks to share, like the Rise & Shine (vodka, lemon, bubbles).
