This Fridge Fits In Your Truck's Center ConsoleDometic

Dometic has announced a new version of its CCF-T center console fridge, this time for late-model Chevy Silverados and GMC Sierras. Much like the CCF-T for Ford trucks introduced earlier, the new fridge is a drop-in unit powered solely off the vehicle's 12-volt power supply.

The refrigerated compartment isn't that big, good for only a few cans and some snacks, so don't expect it to replace a dedicated powered cooler for multi-day overlanding adventures. But for road trip snacks and overnight camping trips, having just a little bit of powered cooling goes a long way. Especially because, according to Dometic, the fridge automatically maintains a temperature of between 37 and 41 degrees. That's plenty cold to ensure that your meat for a night at camp stays fresh and safe.

For anything more than that, we'd recommend rigging a proper fridge or going for a powered cooler. But the center console fridge is a $599 mod that gives you some of that flexibility without having to figure out power supplies or make room for a space-hogging, 50-lb brick in the bed. This version will work with any 2015-2020 F-150, 2017-present Super Duty, or 2018-present Expedition. The GM version fits 2019-2021 Silverados and Sierras, and 2020-present Silverado and Sierra HDs, but your truck cannot have the optional Bose audio system if you want it to fit.
