BASEBALL

Freedom 11, Oconto Falls 0

OCONTO FALLS - Carson Clausen hit and pitched the Irish to the North Eastern Conference victory. He went four innings, allowing just one hit and three walks while striking out six. He was also 5-for-5 at the plate with two doubles and three RBI.

Ryan Heran and Carson Peters also had two hits, with Peters adding four RBI for the Irish.

Freedom scored single runs in the first and second innings before scoring five times in the fourth, two in the fifth and two in the sixth.

With the win, the Irish move to 13-11 overall and finish the regular season 9-9 in the NEC. Oconto Falls falls to 8-13 and 8-10.

Wrightstown 4, Marinette 2

WRIGHTSTOWN - The Tigers used a four-run fourth inning to earn the North Eastern Conference win over the Marines.

Aiden Humphreys was 2-for-3 with an RBI, while Riley Verbeten drove in two runs.

Weston Hanson and Kolton Goldsmith had two hits each for Marinette.

Aiden Van Zeeland picked up the win, pitching 5⅓ innings, allowing six hits and one unearned run with four walks and six strikeouts.

Clintonville 3, Denmark 2

CLINTONVILLE - Blake Weatherwax singled in the bottom of the seventh inning to bring in the winning run as the Truckers topped the Vikings in North Eastern Conference action.

Kade Rosenow reached on a two-base error to start the inning. Weatherwax had two of Clintonville’s five hits.

Rosenow pitched six innings, striking out eight, while Jack Yeager pitched one inning, getting the win, coming on in the seventh with a runner at second and no out.

Grant Schroeder pitched six innings for Denmark, giving up two unearned runs on four hits, striking out nine.

Ebyn LaForest, Josh Gajeski and Brandon Dvorak each had two hits for Denmark.

The loss drops Denmark to 15-5 overall and 13-4 in the NEC.

Wausaukee 10, Stephenson, Mich. 2

WAUSAUKEE - The Rangers took a 5-0 lead after two innings and cruised to the win over the Eagles.

Seth Kraemer had two hits, scored twice and drove in three runs for Wausaukee. Christian Deschane had two hits, two runs scored and two RBI. Luke Smith and Robby Murray both added two hits. Connor Schroeder had a double.

Kyle Suennen pitched the first five innings for Wausaukee, allowing two runs on three hits while striking out three.

Gibraltar/Washington Island 14-12, Green Bay NEW Lutheran 1-0

GREEN BAY - The Vikings banged out 20 hits in the two games as they earned a doubleheader sweep in Packerland Conference action.

Gibraltar/Washington Island used the big inning in both games to take charge.

In Game 1, the Vikings broke open a 1-1 tie with three runs in the fourth, four in the fifth and six in the sixth.

Cameron Munao was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI, while Brady Kita was 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Aaron Brey pitched four innings and earned the win, allowing four hits, one unearned run and two walks while striking out seven.

In the nightcap, the Vikings used a five-run third and seven-run fourth to blank the Blazers.

Kita was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI, while Owen Dannhaussen was 3-for-3 and Brey 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Bennett Isaacson-Krueger pitched all five innings, allowing three hits, while striking out seven.

Griffin Steffel had two hits for NEW Lutheran.

SOFTBALL

Marinette 10, Two Rivers 0

MARINETTE - The Marines took charge from the start, scoring five runs in the first, one in the second and four in the sixth to earn the nonconference win.

Wynn Erdman pitched a six-inning no-hitter, striking out eight.

Destiny Walker and Erdman had two hits each for Marinette.

Appleton West 14, Green Bay West/East 2

GREEN BAY - The Terrors collected 13 hits in the nonconference victory.

Addison Edmunds had three hits and drove in two runs for Appleton West.

Hattie Mocinski struck out six batters in the circle for the Terrors.

GIRLS SOCCER

Wisconsin Rapids 2, De Pere 0

DE PERE - The Red Raiders scored twice in the second half to defeat the Redbirds.

Jocelyn Blahnik allowed two goals in the loss for De Pere.
