Friday Seacoast roundup: Vetter scores 100th career goal, Michaud homers for Oyster River

DOVER - Senior Cat Vetter scored seven goals, including the 100th of her career, as the St. Thomas Aquinas girls lacrosse team rolled past Trinity, 25-5 on Friday in a Division III game.

St. Thomas Aquinas improved to 7-0 on the season, outscoring the opposition, 141-29.

Megan Leahy added four goals for the Saints, while Kat Dornan and Charlotte De Tolla each had three, and Kensley Harris, Reece Anderson and Lizzy Holden all had two.

Ava Lyder and Julia Bryan both had one goal in the win, while STA goalie Brea Barker had five saves. Defensively, Julianna Grella and Peyton Baker starred.

SALEM - Rylen Gray's team-high six goals led Dover to this Division I win.

Megan Healy added three goals and four assists for the Green Wave, while Payton Denning had three goals and two assists, and Kiley Campbell and Khloe Healy both had three goals. Molly Zielfelder had one assist for the Green Wave, and goalie Maggie Berry had four saves.

DURHAM - Grace Royal had seven goals and one assist for Oyster River in this Division II game.

In the game, Royal reached the 100-career point milestone. Mia Weglarz, Keira Ferris, Lindsey Morin, and Kira Jakobs all had one goal for the Bobcats. Oyster River goalie Eliza Farwell had 10 saves.

HOLLIS - Izzy Steiner had three goals and Karli Scherpf, Brooke Battle and Anna Lieberman all had two for Division I Exeter in its loss to Division II Hollis-Brookline.

HAMPTON - Beckett Rath had six goals and one assist, and Nolan Rennie had four goals and one assist for Winnacunnet in this Division II win.

Tim Kollmorgen and Lukas Botnick both had two goals and two assists for the Warriors, and Alex Strater, Hale Dodier and Anthony Magri all had one goal and one assist, and Jake Magri had one assist.

Micha Krick and Tobey Desroches each had two goals and one assist for Dover, while Silas Brown also scored, and Lukah Ready and Ben Tower each had one assist.

Dover's Owen Wood went 7-for-11 on faceoffs, and goalie Dom Chalifour had 13 saves.

KEENE - Tyler Callander had three goals and two assists for Oyster River (5-3) in this Division II contest.

Oyster River's Cameron Wheeler was 7 for 13 on faceoffs, and had five groundballs. Goalie Cole Norris had four saves.

Zavier Lampert pitched the final three innings, allowing just one hit.

ROCHESTER - Alex Cook struck out 11 and allowed two hits in this complete-game Division I win for the Green Wave.

Trevor Cormier and Nick Adrien each had a hit for Spaulding (5-5). Owen Nesbitt allowed one earned run over four innings, taking the loss.

GORHAM, Maine - Two errors led to four unearned runs, hurting Marshwood in this Class A South loss.

Liam Tiernan had two hits for Marshwood (6-1), while Riley Parnham and Ronan Casey both had one. Marshwood starter Charlie Hudson scattered six hits and struck out five over six innings.

SOMERSWORTH - The Rams scored three runs in the final two innings, rallying for this Division III win.

Winnacunnet is fifth at 24-team Clipper Relays

PORTSMOUTH - Winnacunnet placed first in two events - the 4x400-meter relay and long jump at Thursday's 24-team Clipper Relays.

In the long jump, Oliver Duffy (21 feet, 7 inches), Brady Corcoran (19-0.75), and Owen Janetos (18-10.5) competed. In the 4x400-meter relay, the team of Ryan Zumabch, Ryan Jamison, Janetos, and Duffy, placed first in 3 minutes, 28.91 seconds.

Winnacunnet placed second in the 110-meter hurdle relay with the team of Duffy (15.51), Erik Marelli (16.15), Jamison (16.22) and Sullivan Duffy (19.30).

GIRLS TRACK

Winnacunnet is ninth at 17-team Clipper Relays

PORTSMOUTH - Winnacunnet won the distance medley relay team and was third in the 100-meter hurdle relay, placing ninth overall at Thursday's 17-team Clipper Relays.

The distance medley relay team, consisting of Carson Mariotti, Mia Lantaigne, Charlotte Koutalidis, and Maitri Clifford, finished in a time of 13:03.44.

The 100-meter relay consisted of Hayden Adams (16.45), Lola Grote (18.12), MacKenzie Champney (19.52) and Moxie Clifford (20.13)
