Friday Seacoast Roundup: Dover, Marshwood baseball walk off, Exeter star reaches milestone

DOVER - After giving up two runs in the top of the seventh, the Dover High School baseball team answered with two runs in the bottom and walked off with a 7-6 win over Londonderry on Friday in a Division I game.

Dover finished the regular season at 13-7.

Amari Lewis walked to lead off the Dover seventh, Grant Davis reached on a bunt single, and Ryder Aubin's sacrifice fly moved both runners up a base.

Nate MacGregor was intentionally walked to load the bases, Ryan Sullivan was hit by a pitch, tying the game, and Jacob Mangum's sacrifice fly scored Davis with the game-winning run.

NASHUA - Zavier Lampert had two doubles and four RBIs, and Jackson Hooper had three RBIs for Portsmouth (10-9) in its final Division I regular-season game of the season.

Devin Driscoll had a hit and two runs for the Clippers, while Gar Hindle had a triple and scored.

Exeter 6

Salem 0

SALEM - Junior Cam Piwnicki struck out seven and allowed four hits over six innings, leading Exeter to its 15th straight Division I win.

Exeter concludes its regular season at 18-1, and is tied with Pinkerton for first place. The Blue Hawks scored two runs in the first inning, three in the fifth, and one in the seventh.

Brennan Schimoler, Jon Bakker and Finn Adams all had one hit and two RBIs for Exeter.

Winnacunnet 2

Windham 0

HAMPTON - The Warriors scored two runs after the first two batters got out in the first inning and held on for this Division I win.

Winnacunnet won its final eight games of the regular season and finished at 13-7.

Winnacunnet senior Jones Vicinus pitched the final six innings, striking out seven and allowing just one hit.

Jackson Larck, Alex Santora and Zach Conlon all had a hit for the Warriors. Conlon's RBI single to left scored Santora, giving the Warriors a 2-0 lead.

ROCHESTER - Owen Nesbitt lost a no-hit bid with two outs in the seventh inning of this Division I game as Spaulding clinched a playoff berth with the win.

Nesbitt ended up throwing a one-hit, complete-game with nine strikeouts.

Nick Adrien singled and scored two runs for the Red Raiders, while Hunter Crawford had an RBI single, and Darian Mercedes had an RBI double.

SOUTH BERWICK, Maine - The Hawks scored all five runs in the final three innings, including two in the seventh, walking off with this Class A South win.

Ronan Garrett's two-run single to right scored Tyler Hussey and Brady Isabelle with the game-tying, and game-winning runs. Marshwood senior Noah Fitzgerald struck out five and allowed four hits and no earned runs over 6 1/3 innings.

NORTHWOOD - The Saints scored in four of the five innings in this Division II game.

Charlie Covert had one hit and three RBIs, and Kenny Avery had two hits and two RBIs for the Saints, while Graham Willerer (hit, RBI), Sam Grondin (hit, two runs), Timmy Avery (hit, run) and Owen Hawkins (RBI) all contributed.

SOMERSWORTH - Somersworth's Simon Grandmaison struck out five and allowed four hits over seven innings in this Division III loss.

Grandmaison had two hits for the Hilltoppers, while teammate Carter Morgan had one.

EXETER - Kristen Bickford collected her 100th career hit in this Division I win for Exeter (15-3).

Summer LeClerc had two hits, two RBIs and scored two runs for the Blue Hawks, while Annie Christiana had two hits and scored two runs.

Madi Paige (two hits, RBI), Mykenna Whittier (hit, RBI), and Dejah Rondeau (RBI) contributed. Edy Crawford scattered nine hits over 5 2/3 innings, earning the win. LeClerc got the final four outs, picking up the save.

WINDHAM - Kelly Wright blasted a one-out, walk-off, three-run homer lifting Windham and stunning Winnacunnet in this Division I game.

Winnacunnet finished its regular season at 16-3, while Windham is 12-7.

Winnacunnet sophomore Maeva Shapiro homered, her ninth of the season. Arden Langmaid had Winnacunnet's other two hits.

MANCHESTER - Addison French had four hits, drove in four and scored four for Spaulding (10-8) in this Division I game.

Anna Stanley, Maddie Hartman and CJ Dexter all had two hits and two RBIs for the Red Raiders, while Meg Uraskevich had two hits and scored two runs.

MILFORD - The Bobcats sprayed 14 hits across the field and finished its regular season with this Division II win.

Maddy Veno, Addy Veno, Mia Boyd all had three RBIs for Oyster River (15-3), while Gracy Spirito (three singles, double) Aliza Parks (two hits) and Kaiya Mercier (triple, two RBIs) contributed.

SCARBOROUGH, Maine - Adelle Smaracko, Lindsay Bennett, and Emily Hester all had two hits and an RBI for Marshwood in this Class A South loss.

Piper Catanese had three hits for the Hawks, while Laurali Shisler (hit, RBI) and Zoe Carnes (hit, run) starred.

Lily Patterson and Emery Lawton both had a goal and an assist for the Clippers, while Ginger Vinciguerra scored a goal, and Addie Delisle and Raegan Lawton each had one assist. Portsmouth goalie Sage Bussiere had four saves.

HOLLIS - Rachel Baughman scored the lone Spaulding goal in this Division II loss. Spaulding goalie Izzy Orrell had 13 saves.

YORK, Maine - Grace Clayton had four goals and Ava Fontaine and Sophia Luchette both had two for York in this Class B game.

Cary Drake and Lucy Taylor also scored for the Wildcats, who got three saves from goalie Tia Spenlinhauer.

AMHERST - Ryan Resch had five goals and one assist, and Aidan Morrison had four goals and one assist for St. Thomas Aquinas in this Division II match.

Jackson Estes added two goals and two assists for the Saints, while Luke Daly had two goals, and Michael Ellis and Conner Grey both had a goal, and Finley Detolla and Trent Salyards both had one assist.
