Friday Roundup: HHI, Beaufort Academy win big. Ron Parker gets No. 3 jersey retired
A roundup of Lowcountry high school scores from Friday night plus statewide scoreboard:

Fort Dorchester 34, Beaufort 17: The defending Class 3A champs dropped their second straight game, losing to last year’s Class 5A runner-ups.
Fort Dorchester took the lead with 17 seconds in the third quarter and shut out the Eagles, who led 17-7 at one point, the rest of the way.
Caleb Ulmer and Jadyn Andrews had TD runs for Beaufort. Isaac Smalls led the Eagles with 81 yards rushing.
At halftime, Beaufort retired the No. 3 jersey of former Eagle standout Ron Parker, who was joined by friends and family. Parker played for Mark Clifford at Beaufort and then went on to an outstanding college career at Newberry College, where he is in the school’s hall of fame.
Parker went on to play eight seasons as a defensive back in the NFL for the Seattle Seahawks, Oakland Raiders, Carolina Panthers and most notably the Kansas City Chiefs.
Parker appeared in 104 NFL games and had 11 interceptions.
“”All kids want to do is see somebody make it and when they see somebody make it they follow their dreams. It gives them hope,” Parker told WJCL after the ceremony.
Hilton Head Island 29, Claxton, Ga. 12: Trey Timko rushed for 234 yards and two touchdowns as the Seahawks moved to 2-0 on the season. Timko also caught three passes for 68 yards. Quarterback Jackson Bibee and Connor Wiendl each had TD runs for HHI. Bibee also was 11-of-16 passing for 142 yards.
As a team, the Seahawks had 443 yards of offense.
On defense, Shaikh Thompson had seven tackles, a sack, forced fumble and blocked kick.
Beaufort Academy 28, Hilton Head Prep 0: Beaufort Academy moved to 3-0 on the season with a win over the Dolphins.
Jaxon Porter had two touchdowns for Beaufort Academy. Davonte Green and Dietrich Shuford also had TDs for the Eagles.
Ridgeland-Hardeeville 33, Battery Creek 31 (OT ): The Jaguars stopped the Dolphins on a two-point conversion attempt to move to 2-0 on the season.
Winston Smith scored the go-ahead touchdown for the Jaguars and they scored on a two-point conversion to make it 33-25.
Maurice Brown had two touchdowns on offense and an interception return for R-H
Jenkins, Ga. 41, Bluffton 30: Jenkins rallied from a 30-20 second-half deficit to defeat the Bobcats.
Wilson Hall 17, Hilton Head Christian Academy 10: Dylan Clark had a TD run in the third quarter as the Eagles lost to Wilson Hall.
West Ashley 31, May River 7: Mason White, Jude Claborn, and Dounian and Kevin Brown had TDs in West Ashley’s win over the Sharks.
The loss spoiled the debut of May River coach Richard Bonneville.
Whale Branch 46, North Charleston 6: Darrel Cummings rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns as the Warriors won on Thursday night. KJ Chisholm also had two TD runs for Whale Branch.
