Fire crews were called to a village railway station after a blaze on a freight train.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was called to Westerfield Station, near Ipswich, at about 06:50 BST, with reports of a fire involving a non-passenger, non-running train.

The fire service said it was a "small incident involving hydraulic couplings" and no-one had been injured.

A road closure was put in place while the fire was extinguished.

On it's X account, train operator Greater Anglia said no trains were running through Westerfield but the disruption was expected to clear after 10:00.
