Freddy Peralta sent Mookie Betts tumbling to the ground on a strikeout. Then Betts got payback.

Freddy Peralta welcomed Mookie Betts back to the lineup with a viral moment — and for all the wrong reasons for the Los Angeles Dodgers superstar.

Two innings later, Betts got his retribution.

Betts, in his first at-bat since June 16 after recovering from a fractured left hand, was sent spinning and tumbling to the ground as he struck out against Peralta in the first inning between the Milwaukee Brewers and the Dodgers on Monday night at American Family Field.

Peralta got the eight-time all-star to swing through a slider for strike three, and the sheer force of Betts' hack sent him falling to the ground in the opposite batter's box.

Betts had revenge on his mind the next time he came to the plate, however.

With a runner on third and two outs in the top of the third, Betts was all over a fastball from Peralta, turning on it and sending it out to left field for a home run to give the Dodgers a 2-0 lead.

The Brewers are Dodgers are kicking off an important four-game series as both battle for a first-round bye in the Major League Baseball playoffs. The Brewers (67-50 entering Monday) are in first place in the National League Central Division and the Dodgers (69-49) lead the NL West.
