Four Generations Face Off for the Title of 'MasterChef' (Exclusive First Look)

Gordon Ramsay, Aarón Sánchez, Joe Bastianich

Award-winning chef Gordon Ramsay will return as the host and judge alongside acclaimed chef Aarón Sánchez and renowned restaurateur Joe Bastianich when MasterChef returns for its 14th season this summer on FOX.

Last season the theme was United Tastes of America with the U.S. divided into regions with home chefs from each region cooking what their portion of the country was best known for. This season’s theme is Generations, which will feature the top home cooks from four different generations, inclusive of Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X and Baby Boomers.

Parade has your first look at the highly anticipated cooking competition in which the generations will duke it out to see who will be America’s next MasterChef.

“The generations really have a different way of viewing food,” Aarón says.

Joe agrees, adding, “With Boomers, there’s a sense of abundance, simplicity and earnestness in the Boomer cuisine.”

And Gordon opines, “The Millennials think they know it all, and Gen Z has the youngest talented cook with no fear.”

The challenges are insane, including one in a quarry, a pop-up restaurant named Ramsay Rooftop, a series of iconic Mystery Box challenges, cooking a meal at the Major League Soccer LAFC stadium, and the fan-favorite Tag Team event.

Gordon concludes, “No matter how old or young you are, you can still become America’s next MasterChef.

MasterChef: Generations premieres May 29 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on FOX.
