Four Aussies missing in Indonesia found alive, 'floating' in ocean

Four missing Australians who vanished in Indonesia on Sunday night after the boat they were travelling on ran into rough seas have been found alive.

Steph Weisse, Will Teagle, Elliot Foote and Jordan Short have all be found alive and "floating on surfboards" in the ocean, Nine News reports.

The search party continues and the boat they were travelling in has not been located.

Some crew members remain unaccounted for.

It's understood the group were travelling in celebration of a 30th birthday when things took a dark turn.

They were heading from Nias island, about 120 kilometres from the North Sumatra coast, to the Banyak Islands, in Aceh.
