Dior's Lip Glow Oil is legendary. An absolute icon in the beauty world, and a favorite among industry experts, editors, and Cosmo readers alike. The formula is thick and glossy without being tacky (and actually keeps your lips moisturized), the sheer color gives lips the perfect hint of tint, and the packaging is both super chic and functional. Oh, and the oversize doe-foot applicator? It hugs lips just right to deliver the ideal amount of product with each swipe. There's only one downside really, and that's the $40 price tag.

$40 is A LOT of money to spend on a tiny little lip oil or lip gloss, so I totally get it if you're not running to your nearest Ulta or Sephora to snag a sample for yourself. Luckily, some truly excellent—and affordable—dupes for the Dior lip oil exist, and I've tested and reviewed them all here. Keep reading for my reviews of the the 7 best Dior lip oil dupes, below. There are options from drugstore makeup brands, vegan makeup brands, celeb beauty brands, and more.

Lip Glow Oil

Dior's Lip Glow Oil comes in eight tints, but 001 Pink shown here is a crowd favorite. It's a soft, pale rose that gives lips a nice glow—as if you firmly pressed your lips together a few times and all the blood rushed to the surface.

Even though this is labeled as a lip oil, it has more of a lip gloss texture that sits on top of lips instead of soaking into them. And unlike some lip glosses or oils that only provide temporary hydration, the moisturizing effects of Dior's Lip Glow last for hours thanks to sweet cherry seed oil. On days I head to the office, I usually apply this on the train in the morning and only feel the need to layer on some more around 1pm post-lunch.

Fat Oil Lip Drip

At $8.99, this is the cheapest Dior Lip Oil dupe on the list...and it happens to be one of my favorites. NYX's Fat Oil Lip Drip's formula is slightly less thick and glossy than Dior's, but I actually kind of prefer that—especially if you're layering it on top of an existing lipstick or lip liner. It comes in eight different shades, but "Missed Call"—it's the ultra-sheer pale pink tint shown here—is nearly an exact match for Dior's "001 Pink".

Cherry Treat Conditioning + Strengthening Lip Oil

I bet if you swiped Fenty's Lip Oil and Dior's Lip Oil on blindfolded you wouldn't know the difference...because I honestly couldn't tell. Both have doefoot applicators that are pretty much the exact same shape and size and both have thick, glossy textures that feel nearly identical on lips. They even have the same hero ingredient—sweet cherry seed oil—which is prized for its moisturizing and nourishing properties. The only real difference is the scent; Fenty's has a sweet cherry scent and Dior's smells slightly minty.

Shade Slick Gelée Sheer Tinted Lip Oil

A greener alternative to Dior's Lip Oil, this vegan, plant-based dupe from clean beauty brand Merit is made with squalane and quinoa seed oil to moisturize your lips and leave them with a non-sticky sheen. In my opinion, Merit's formula soaks into lips a bit better than Dior's, but it's not as plush and glossy as the original. As for the shades, Merit comes in four sheer options; "Mapleton", shown here, is a gorgeous brown tint that's similar to Dior's 020 Mahogany.

Lip Treatment Oil

Tester's love Dior's lip oil for that ultra-glossy, mirror-like finish...and I'm happy to report that Ami Cole's lip oil creates the exact same effect on lips for quite literally half the price. This one comes in four ultra-shiny shades (including a clear, rosy brown, light pink, and bright pink) and one shimmery nude with gold flecks.

Glaze Lip Oil

Dior's Lip Oil and Innbeauty Project's Glaze Lip Oil are incredibly similar...the only difference is the level of tint. Innbeauty's lip oil is more opaque than the Dior's, so it's a great alternative for anyone who wants a little bit more color on their lips. Don't get me wrong, the formula is still sheer and juicy, but wears more like a lip stain with a glossy finish than a lip oil IMO.

Lip Comfort Hydrating Oil in Raspberry

Clarins' and Dior's lip oil are incredibly similar (the applicator, the shade range, the color payoff) but, in my experience, Clarins' is actually a bit more moisturizing than Dior's, thanks to a blend of jojoba oil, sweetbriar rose oil, and hazelnut oil in the formula. It really nourishes lips and locks in moisture—especially during the winter months—but because it is a bit more oil-heavy than Dior's, I find that the Clarins formula tends to slide around my lips where the Dior one really stays in place.

PhD Hybrid Lip Oil Tint

A favorite Dior lip oil dupe among beauty editors and TikTokers, Lady Gaga's PhD Hybrid Lip Oil Tint has a similar look and feel to Dior's, except the formula is a bit thinner and less sticky than the original. The tints, while sheer, do show up a bit more on lips too—especially the "Primary" shade shown here.
