Formula 1 Legend Guenther Steiner to Host ‘Vankah Hours’ Podcast With The Red Flags Podcast and Almost Friday Media (EXCLUSIVE)

Formula 1 legend Guenther Steiner is gearing up to offer motorsport fans an unfiltered, behind-the-scenes look at the world of F1 racing in a new podcast. The star of Netflix’s “Drive to Survive” is set to host “Vankah Hours With Guenther Steiner” alongside Brian Muller and Matt Elisofon of “The Red Flags Podcast.”

Produced by Almost Friday Media, the podcast will premiere this Thursday, May 23, and will be available on the existing “Red Flags” RSS Feed and YouTube channel.

Steiner, known as one of racing’s most charismatic figures, served as the team principal of the Haas F1 team from 2016 to 2023. Prior to that, he was the managing director of Jaguar Racing from 2001 to 2003 and later the technical operations director at Red Bull Racing.

“Vankah Hours With Guenther Steiner” is an extension of Muller and Elisofon’s popular “The Red Flags Podcast,” which launched in 2021 and is known for its humorous and relatable take on the high-octane world of Formula 1.

“If I had a dollar for every podcast offer I’ve received since leaving Haas, I’d be able to buy my own machine tool factory! The trick was finding one that suited my character, and when Muller and Elisofon got in touch, I agreed almost immediately. F1 is a super serious sport, but that doesn’t prevent the podcasts from being entertaining. Come on, let’s have fun!” Steiner said.

“Three years ago we started this podcast because we fell in love with ‘Drive to Survive,’ and, more specifically, Steiner. We still can’t believe that we’re now co-hosting a podcast with the man we reference every episode of our own show,” said Muller and Elisofon.

Jacob Selzer, head of sports at Almost Friday Media, added, “Our priority at Almost Friday is to always provide sports fans with levity and unique analysis the landscape is lacking. The Red Flags have burst onto the F1 scene by shaking things up with their comedy and unfiltered opinions, and we could not be more thrilled to add one of the sport’s truly iconic characters in Steiner.”

CAA brokered the deal on behalf of Steiner.
