Former White House spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany will co-anchor Fox News show ‘Outnumbered’

Kayleigh McEnany, the former White House spokeswoman who famously clashed with reporters, is joining the Fox News show “Outnumbered” as co-anchor, the network announced Tuesday.

McEnany will co-host the midday show with founding anchor Harris Faulkner and host Emily Compagno.

“I am thrilled to join the incredible women of ‘Outnumbered’ ... as we discuss the top issues impacting the country,” McEnany said in a statement.

Suzanne Scott, CEO of Fox News Media, said she believes the former Trump administration press secretary will add an important perspective to the show, which draws the highest ratings in its time slot among cable news networks.

“Kayleigh’s unique background in politics and law coupled with her experiences confronting women’s health challenges and life as a new mom will add robust insight to ‘Outnumbered,’” said Scott. “We are delighted to welcome her ... to FOX News.”

McEnany announced on March 2 that she was joining Fox News, but was initially planning to join as a contributor on “The Faulkner Focus” hosted by Harris Faulkner.

The former Trump mouthpiece replaced Stephanie Grisham as White House press secretary last April. She quickly won a reputation for sparring with journalists as the White House navigated the coronavirus pandemic and Trump’s reelection campaign.

The Harvard Law School graduate fell uncharacteristically quiet after the Jan. 6 storming of the Capitol by a mob of former President Donald Trump’s supporters.

She later asserted that “everyone in the administration was horrified” by the riot, and insisted that very few MAGA backers were in the mob.

When asked if Trump bore responsibility for egging on the crowd at a rally shortly before they attacked the Capitol, McEnany said, “No, I don’t.”
