Former Peoria High all-stater finds new NCAA women's college basketball home

Denali Craig-Edwards has found a new college basketball home.

The former Peoria High all-stater announced on social media Tuesday that she will be continuing her playing career at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). She decided in March to transfer from Western Michigan where she spent her freshman season.

"Home," Craig-Edwards posted on Twitter with a red and yellow heart about playing for IUPUI, which is a Horizon League member.

During the 2023-24 campaign, she played in 21 of Western Michigan's 30 games, averaging 1.8 points and 1.2 rebounds while playing 7.7 minutes per game. The 6-footer was a Journal Star all-area forward in helping Peoria High finish as the 2023 Class 3A third-place finisher.
