Former Pacers fan favorite Lance Stephenson may join G League team

Lance Stephenson isn't giving up on his NBA dreams.

The Indiana Pacers fan favorite is on his way to join the Iowa Wolves of the G League. The Wolves announced they acquired Stephenson's returning player rights.

Stephenson compiled 4,738 points, 1,907 rebounds, 1,621 assists and 357 steals over 10 NBA seasons, mostly with the Pacers. The 33-year-old excited fans by strumming an air guitar after big plays and that one particular interaction with LeBron James.

He last played professionally in Puerto Rico in the spring.

Stephenson was in Las Vegas over the weekend to cheer on the Pacers in the NBA in-season tournament.

In the deal, Iowa sent the Grand Rapids Gold the returning player rights to guard Craig Randall II.
