Back in September, former Ohio State linebacker K’Vaughan Pope entered the transfer portal. On Friday, he announced where he’ll resume his college career.

Pope revealed in a video that he’s heading to Tennessee State. He’ll play for Ohio State legend Eddie George, who became the program’s head coach in 2021.

“Called up Eddie George and asked him what’s new,” Pope wrote on Twitter. “He said it’s you.”

Unfortunately for Pope, his time at Ohio State will be remembered by his sideline incident against Akron. He was escorted to the Buckeyes’ locker room during the second quarter of that game.

Pope did apologize for his actions, saying, “I made a mistake and know that I need to be better and do better.”

During his career with the Buckeyes, Pope had 19 total tackles, three passes defended and two interceptions. Most of his production came on special teams.

Perhaps we’ll see Pope reach his full potential at Tennessee State.
