Former Ohio State football stars C.J. Stroud, Noah Brown connect on a 75-yard TD for Texans

While C.J. Stroud and Noah Brown never shared the field at Ohio Stadium, it's evident that the Ohio State football connection still carries some weight in the NFL.

Stroud, the former Buckeyes star quarterback, linked up with Brown for a 75-yard touchdown in the third quarter for the Houston Texans in their game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.

Stroud took a shot down the field on first-and-10 and connected with a streaking Brown, who cut up the left sideline and stiff-armed Tampa Bay defender Carlton Davis III on his way into the end zone. The 75-yard touchdown cut the deficit to four after the Texas failed to score on the two-point conversion.

Stroud spent time with the Buckeyes from the 2020-22, amassing 8,123 passing yards and 85 touchdowns. He was selected with the second pick in the 2023 NFL Draft after earning first-team All-Big Ten honors in the 2021 and 2022 seasons. He holds the NFL record with 192 passing attempts without an interception to start a career.

An explosive season from Brown in 2016 led the wide receiver to get drafted in the seventh round in 2017 by the Dallas Cowboys.

The Texans signed Brown to a one-year deal during free agency this year to pair him with Stroud.
