Former NFL Coach Has Brutally Honest Admission On Kellen Moore
Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore has emerged as one of the top head coaching candidates in this year’s cycle. But after his Dallas squad’s disappointing end to the season this past weekend, some are beginning to question whether the 33-year-old assistant is ready to lead an NFL team.
Former NFL head coach Dave Wannstedt believes the answer is no.
“Kellen Moore… He’s not ready for a head coaching job in my opinion,” he said on today’s episode of The Colin Cowherd Podcast.

Wannstedt says Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy should have stepped up and taken control of the Dallas offense in the final stretch of the season.
“I though Mike McCarthy should’ve taken that offense by the reins and said, “Hey guys, I’ve been there — I’ve done it — I’m gonna take a bigger role in this whole offense,'” he added. “That football team lost confidence about three quarters of the way through the season.”
While Wannstedt may not believe in Kellen Moore as an NFL head coach, several franchises seem to think he’s worth taking a look at.
The Cowboys’ OC has already conducted interviews with the Broncos and Jaguars. The Vikings and Dolphins have also requested meetings.
Do you think Moore has what it takes to make the jump to head coach?
