Former Megadeth bassist David Ellefson files police report over ‘revenge porn’

Ex-Megadeth bass player David Ellefson filed a complaint with the Scottsdale Police Department alleging unknown parties posted sexually explicit images of him online — which cost him his rock star gig.

AZ Central reports Ellefson, who lives in Arizona, brought his lawyer to a May 26 meeting with cops where he presented evidence that a minor he was rumored to have been “grooming” was in fact 19 during their first of a handful of virtual sexual encounters.

Video of the 56-year-old rocker masturbating hit the Web, with one Instagram user claiming “David Ellefson of Megadeth is a pedophile.”

Ellefson told police the video making the rounds came from a video feature on Facebook Messenger, where he and a female fan he’d met in the Netherlands had virtual meetings. That woman allegedly confessed to Ellefson she’d recorded video of him pleasuring himself on occasion, but said she had no idea how they became public. The two have never had direct sex, the musician claims.

The band cut ties with Ellefson on May 14. Frontman Dave Mustaine, who co-founded Megadeth with Ellefson in 1983, announced in a statement “While we do not know every detail of what occurred, with an already strained relationship, what has already been revealed now is enough to make working together impossible moving forward.”

Ellefson’s attorney released a statement from his client calling the video posted online an “illegal” act and blasting the “false allegations” about the relationship.

Police are reportedly investigating how the video went viral and Ellefson wants whoever is responsible to “be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

He has previously called the video “revenge pornography” and threatened a defamation suit against his tormenter.

An Instagram post said to be from the woman with whom Ellefson was involved says she was an adult when she engaged in a consensual relationship with the “Hangar 18″ bassist. She also called for an end to the graphic images being posted on social media.
