Former Kansas Jayhawks cornerback Aqib Talib got his feet wet last year as an NFL broadcaster, working for Fox Sports for select games.

Now Talib, who was an All-Pro cornerback and Super Bowl champion during his 12-year NFL career, is set to become a studio analyst for Amazon’s “Thursday Night Football” coverage, according to NFL.com.

“Talib is expected to be involved in the pregame, halftime and postgame shows,” the league’s website noted.

The New York Post reported former Rams offensive lineman Adrew Whitworth also will be part of Amazon’s coverage, which also will have a former Chiefs star.

“Amazon’s studio team will include Charissa Thompson as host, and Tony Gonzalez, Richard Sherman and Ryan Fitzpatrick as analysts. Marshawn Lynch is also likely to join in a capacity that includes bits and features,” the Post reported.

Talib paired with play-by-play man Gus Johnson for games on Fox last year, and fans seemed to like the duo.

Here is an example of Talib’s work with Johnson during the Lions-Cardinals game.

Talib played for the Jayhawks from 2005-07.
