Former Chapin basketball player KJ Lewis to go through NBA Draft process

Former Chapin boys basketball player KJ Lewis will go through the NBA Draft process but maintain his college eligibility.

Lewis, who completed his freshman year at the University of Arizona, announced his decision on his X page, the social platform formerly known as Twitter, on Tuesday morning.

Lewis played in 36 games for Arizona this past season and averaged 6.1 points and 3.1 rebounds per game for the Wildcats and was a key reserve on a team that reached the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tourney. He also had 69 assists, 38 steals and shot 79.2% from the free-throw line.

He played at Chapin for his first three years of high school before playing for Duncanville his senior year. At Chapin, he helped the team to the Sweet 16 twice and the playoffs all three years.
