Former Buckeye named d-line coach in new MLFB

The new and exciting Major League Football will be kicking off its season on August 6, and they have already made a splash announcing that former Ohio State legend and coach, Bill Conley will be the head coach of the Ohio Force. But they aren’t done adding former Buckeyes it seems.

It was recently announced that former Ohio State defensive tackle, Winfield Garnett, would be the defensive line coach for the Force. This addition makes sense as Winfield was on Conley’s coaching staff at Division II Ohio Dominican from 2010-2015.

Winfield played for Ohio State from 1994-1997, and despite going undrafted, had a cup of coffee in the NFL. He thrived in the NFL Europe with the Amersterdam Admirals earning All-Pro honors, and he also excelled in the Arena Football League with the Grand Rapids Rampage, earning All-Pro there as well.

Winfield is a fantastic addition to what should be a fantastic staff in the Ohio Force.
