Forest Whitaker's Former Wife of Over 20 Years Dead At 51

Keisha Whitaker, the former wife of famous actor Forest Whitaker, has sadly died. She was 51.

Keisha was married to the Godfather of Harlem star, 62, for over 20 years before they divorced in 2021. The exes, who tied the knot back in 1996, were parents of four children together: daughters Sonnet, 27, and True, 25, in addition to Forest's son Ocean, 33, from a previous marriage, and Keisha's daughter Autumn, 32, from a previous relationship.

The news of Keisha's death was confirmed by their daughter True, who posted a series of images from throughout her mom's life to her Instagram Stories in the early morning hours on Thursday, Dec. 7.

"goodbye mommy," she wrote alongside an old sepia-toned photograph of her mom. "I love you 4ever and beyond."

True went on to call her mom, "the most beautiful woman in the world," before writing, "thank you for teaching me every single thing I know."

"I'll see you in my dreams and I'll feel you in my heart," she concluded the emotional message, which was followed by more throwback photos of her late mother.

"There's no one more important to me," she wrote alongside another one of the images.

Details surrounding the nature and cause of Keisha's untimely passing have yet not been revealed.

Forest has yet to make a public statement regarding Keisha's untimely passing, while fans online are already sending their condolences to Keisha's loved ones amid the devasating news.

"RIP Keisha Whitaker," one user wrote on X. "Sending love and light to the Whitaker family & friends."

"51 is so young, oh man RiP," someone else added.
