Football and basketball stars: Vote for the Large Class boys athlete of the week in Nashville

Make sure to vote now for the La-Z-Boy Furniture Tennessean boys Large Class athlete of the week for Nov. 13-18.

This week's list includes both high school football stars who's teams advanced in the TSSAA football playoffs as well as basketball players whose season began this past week.

Here are this week's candidates.

Crews Law, CPA: Law, a North Carolina commit, ran for 85 yards on 11 carries. He scored four TDs in CPA's 37-16 win over FRA in the Division II-AA semifinals.

Daune Morris, Oakland: Morris had 18 carries for 174 yards and five TDs in Oakland's 56-0 rout of rival Riverdale.

Zeion Simpson-Smith, Pearl-Cohn: Smith had 11 carries for 165 yards and two touchdowns in the Firebirds' 41-21 Class 4A quarterfinal win over Marshall County.

Ethan Cunningham, Page: Cunningham had 22 carries for 101 yards and a touchdown in a 14-7 win over Centennial in the 5A playoff quarterfinal.

Matthew Manning, Brentwood: Manning had four catches for 85 yards and two touchdowns in a 27-20 win over Ravenwood in the 6A state quarterfinal.

Tyler Tanner, Brentwood Academy: Tanner had 36 points to lead the Eagles to a seven-point win over PCA last Thursday and finished with 44 points in a win over Hillsboro last week.

Cam Blivens, Lipscomb Academy: Blivens drops 31 points with seven rebounds in a 62-52 win over Hendersonville last Saturday and also had 30 points and eight rebounds in the Mustangs' win over Ezell-Harding last Friday.

Jett Montgomery, Independence: Montgomery finished with a game-high 27 points with five 3-pointers in a 66-64 loss to Cordova last Friday. On Saturday, he had had 17 points to lead the Eagles in a 67-51 loss to Bartlett.

Brandon Smith, Overton: Smith was one rebound away from a triple-double with 13 points, 13 assists and nine boards last Friday.

Rocco Lamuno, Ravenwood: Lamuno led the way with 27 points in the Raptors' 69-52 win over Rockvale last Thursday. He added 19 points in a 70-58 win over Mt. Juliet on Tuesday.
