When the young princes started on solids, McGrady made fresh fruit purees daily. Their favorites were pureed apple and pear.

As for vegetables, entrees of carrot, cauliflower and pea puree were twice-sieved and served.

As the boys grew older, proteins like chicken, lamb and beef were pureed and blended into the vegetable mush.

Cooking for the young princes took a team of chefs. To prepare a puree of meat and vegetable, one chef cooked the meat while another handled the vegetables, which were later blended together.

McGrady’s favorite memory of feeding the royal babies includes the times when Diana would bring them to the kitchen for a yogurt snack.

While the royal chefs may prepare the food, it is the royal nanny who has the final say on what the royal baby eats. The royal nanny sends down a menu everyday.

Like any other children, the young princes loved to eat cheeseburgers, chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese and loaded potato skins. The nanny made sure they ate healthy vegetables, too.

The boys would sneak in favorite foods like chocolate chip ice cream. Prince William’s favorite sweets include chocolate biscuit cake and banana flan.
