What Does It Mean to Share a Coke?

Recently you may have heard a lot about "sharing a Coke" or even seen various names popping up on bottles of Coca-Cola. These names on the bottles are no mistake. Coca-Cola has launched a campaign aimed at sharing the iconic soft drink with friends and having their customers delight at finding their names on a bottle.

What is Share a Coke?

To celebrate its "Share a Coke" campaign, Coca-Cola is taking product personalization to another level. The iconic bottle will now feature popular names on Coke, Diet Coke and Coke Zero bottles. The bottles recommend that customers "Share a Coke with..." and then presents a name.

How to Share a Coke

The full list of names is extensive, beginning with Aaron and ending with Zoey. On the website, users can find their own name or even share the name of a friend. This fun promotional campaign will have customers searching for their names in grocery stores, markets and vending machines.

Some bottles will even display fun nicknames amongst family and friends. According to the LA Times, nicknames like BFF, Bestie, Legend, Star, Buddy and Wingman will even appear on some 1.25 and 2-liter bottles.

This isn't the first time that Coca-Cola has tried to revamp its bottle. In 2013, the soda giant launched a line of 16-ounce cold-activated cans that displayed the temperature of the drink.
