Wendy's Gets Rid of Soda Option for Kids' Meals

Read on to learn more about Wendy's recent decision to remove soda from its kids' meals.

The Center for Science in the Public Interest released a statement explaining that Wendy's would no longer offer soda as an option on their kids' menu. Bob Bertini, a spokesman for Wendy's told USA TODAY Network that the soft drink option will no longer appear on menu boards inside the restaurants, at pick-up windows or on the mobile app.

Instead of soda, Wendy's will now offer milk, chocolate milk, apple juice or mini water bottles in its kids' meals.

Wendy's is not the first chain to do this. McDonald's removed sodas from its Happy Meals in 2013.
