Starbucks Reveals New Drink for the Holiday Season

Of all the seasonal drinks at Starbucks, the Pumpkin Spice Latte is by far the best known. Yes, the beloved Pumpkin Spice Latte has managed to infiltrate the world of fried food and can even be enjoyed as a scone or cookie. This year, the Pumpkin Spice Latte returned to the coffee chain in August even though the drink is part of their fall menu, but the coffee company has more up its sleeve. Now Starbucks is trying out a new Christmas drink. The Chestnut Praline Latte is the first "handcrafted" Christmas drink the company has launched in five years.

Initially, Starbucks was testing out both a Cherry Jubilee Mocha in select stores and also the Chestnut Praline Latte. However, only the Chestnut Praline Latte will become a part of the chain's menu nationally. The company also marks the holidays season with its signature red cups.

The drink contains chestnut praline syrup and is topped with whipped cream and spiced crushed pralines. In addition to the Chestnut Praline Latte, Starbucks is also serving other holiday favorites like the Gingerbread Latte and Peppermint Mocha. To celebrate the company's 30th anniversary, Starbucks also plans to release a Starbucks Christmas blend.

Starbucks also plans to debut a mobile ordering system that allows customers to pay for their drinks before arriving at the store like a takeout restaurant.
