Whole Wheat Flaxseed Banana Donuts

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cup mashed banana
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 0.5 tsp butter extract
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 0.125 cup buttermilk
  • 0.25 cup oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking spice
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.125 cup flax seed
  • 1 cup whole wheat
  • 0.5 cup agave


1. Sift together the flours, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Add in the flaxseed, cinnamon and sugar and set aside. Combine the buttermilk, vanilla, butter extract and oil. Slowly stir in the mashed bananas and then the agave until all is combined.
2. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until it comes together. If you over-mix then the donuts will be too chewy. 
3. Place donut batter into greased donut pan and bake at 350 for10-15 minutes depending on the size donut pan you have.
