Raw Caramel Apples
- 2 small apples
- Date Caramel Sauce (recipe below)
- Raw Chocolate Recipe (1/2 batch)
- 1/3 cup chopped nuts
- 2 lollipop sticks
- Gently remove the core from the apple with a knife. Insert stick into apple.
- Using a knife, cover the apples evenly with the caramel date sauce.
- Roll around in chopped nuts.
- Drizzle with raw chocolate.
- Chill in the fridge for 15 minutes until the apples set.
Date Caramel Sauce
- 5 dates, depitted and chopped
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tsp nut butter of choice (helps to spread onto the apple)
- 1 tsp agave
- In a high speed blender, combine all ingredients until completely smooth. Will take about 5 minutes total. If you are having difficulties blending, simply add more water by the teaspoon full until it smooths out.
