Cook the beef in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat until it's well browned, stirring frequently to break up meat. Pour off any fat.
Stir in taco seasoning mix and water. Heat to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Cook for 5 minutes.
Spoon about 1/4 cup beef mixture down the center of each tortilla. Top each with picante sauce, lettuce and cheese. Fold tortilla around filling. Serve with additional picante sauce.
