Eating a healthy breakfast can do more than just sate your morning hunger. For adults and children alike, a healthy breakfast can improve concentration throughout the day, prepare you for physical activity, lower cholesterol and improve your overall diet, according to WebMD. Starting the day with a good breakfast can also lead to better weight loss or weight control. In fact, people who eat breakfast tend to weigh less than people who don't.

While breakfast is so important, about one out of every five children in the U.S. are still unable to begin every day with it. To help, for National Breakfast Week (also called National School Breakfast Week), which kicks off today, Kellogg's joins forces with Action For Healthy Kids and Taye Diggs on its Share Breakfast campaign. Through Share Breakfast, they hope to bring one million breakfasts to kids who need them.
