Bacon Prices Rise

Due to an unfortunate virus ravaging pigs, there is now a huge shortage in pork. The demand for bacon hasn't lessened either, which means that the cost of pork and especially bacon will rise. Pork prices have increased by 10 percent and bacon prices by 13 percent.

Starbucks Tries Tea

Starbucks has been hard at work opening up a new tea joint in Chicago. The store will feature Oprah's own tea! Starbucks has been holding back on buying coffee because prices have been increasing.

What's Your Favorite Fast Food?

A survey conducted by the market-research consultancy, Market Force Information, asked 6,000 consumers which chain was their favorite. The researchers divided fast food chains into four key categories: pizza, Mexican, sandwiches and chicken. Papa Murphy's received a 73 percent rating for tastiest pizza. Chipotle received a 65 percent rating on its food quality. Panera Bread won the sandwich rating with an 80 percent rating. Chick-fil-a and Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers both earned a 79 percent.

Cherry Juice Could Help You Sleep.

New research has found that a glass of tart cherry juice in the morning and evening could help people sleep better. The study, published in the American Society of Nutrition, found that drinking cherry juice twice a day for two weeks helped older adults with insomnia sleep nearly 90 minutes longer.

In a recent TED-Ed video writer and educator George Zaidan explained that the best way to get ketchup out of a glass bottle is to shake the container with the lid on to "wake up" the particles and then pour as you'd like!
