McDonald's is Giving Away Free Coffee

Coffee is part of many a morning ritual. Many people depend on a hot cup of joe to start the day, which is why coffee fans will rejoice to learn that McDonald's plans to give out free coffee starting on September 16th and ending on September 29th. The reason for this giveaway is to celebrate coffee and its many fans! At participating locations, customers can order a free small McCafé coffee during the fast food giant's breakfast hours.

This is the second time that McDonald's has hosted a free national coffee event. The first event took place back in March, when the chain gave away millions of cups of coffee all over the country.

Greg Watson, the senior vice president of McDonald's US Menu Innovation, explained the reason for the free coffee event in a statement. "We know our guests are busy, especially during the morning, and a free cup of coffee goes a long way in helping get their days started. That's why we want to treat customers once again so they can taste for themselves just how great their mornings can be with a cup of McCafé coffee and freshly made breakfast."

This tasty event comes not too long after McDonald's announced that it would sell its coffee beans in grocery stores.
