Learn How to Make a Pumpkin Pie Milkshake

During the season of pumpkin spice, it's very possible to enjoy the fall flavor of pumpkin in practically every type of food. Pumpkin spice is now fully acceptable as a flavor for lattes, Oreos and essentially anything else you can think of. Even the flavor of pumpkin pie can be used to make numerous desserts that have nothing to do at all with pies!

Thanks to the recipe shown in the video above, you can have your pie and drink it too! It's really easy to prepare this kid-friendly dessert or grown-up treat for the fall season. Start by juicing one large orange. (You'll need a half a cup of orange juice.) Then, pour the juice into a blender and add a cup of pumpkin puree. Canned pumpkin puree works fine!

Then add a pint of your favorite vanilla ice cream. Make sure to leave the ice cream out to soften a bit before beginning this portion of the recipe to ensure that the ice cream blends well into your drink.

The spices are typical of those found in pumpkin pie. Add a quarter teaspoon each of ginger, cinnamon and just a pinch of ground cloves. Blend the mixture in a blender, and the drink is done! The Pumpkin Pie Milkshake can be served as is, but if you'd like to add a little something extra for the adults, just pour in a quarter cup of bourbon and blend the mixture again.
